A Return to Key West

McGillis, the star of blockbuster “Top Gun” with Tom Cruise, has been a long-time resident of the tiny island of Key West, but has not returned in eight years. Instead, has focused on raising her children and going to school in New Jersey. McGillis formerly resided on Caroline Street in the home next to her restaurant, Kelly’s Caribbean. McGillis’ kids, now 15 and 18, have decided to move back to Key West to live with their father.

Kelly returned to host the Kelly McGillis Classic International Women’s and Girl’s Flag Football Championship in Key West, now in its 18th year. Upon her return to the island, Kelly claims “It’s a little different, but it’s very much the same…It’s a wonderful thing to come home. There’s a familiarity here.” Click here for the article.
